“He who sings, prays twice” – St Augustine
The role of music in Church is demonstrated many times throughout the bible. It is identified as being a celebratory way of praising God. The faithful have always been strongly advised to sing at Mass as a way of actively participating in raising their voices to God.
Singing in the choir is an excellent way to serve God and share the gift of music with the Parish. The choir is open to anyone who has a desire to sing, learn new music, and grow spiritually as well as musically. We rehearse the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 6-7pm. So, come, “sing joyfully to the Lord.” (Psalm 100:1)
“Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise from the end of the earth.” (Isaiah 42:10)
